My name is John and I have been modeling (painting & decaling) my own Nascar models for about 8 years. Prior to that, I was a model railroader. I have submitted a model of Dale Earnhardt's 2001 Monte Carlo driven in the famous 2001 Daytona 500. To my knowledge, no diecast manufacturer has produced a completely accurate model of this car. In order to get the correct sponsor decals, I used several different sheets as well as some custom decals. The first pic is the complete car. The second pic shows the drivers side rear and you can see that all of the correct decals are on the car. Sonic (rear quarter), Coca Cola, Hershey's, VanCamps, & Bass Pro Shops ("B" pillar), Perdue & Oreo (in front of rear wheel). In the last pic, you can see the roof rail which was required at Daytona & Talladega.
